PUPPIES: Our Schnauzers are bred specifically for placement in family homes within the general public. Our breeding program prioritizes sound temperament, the reduction of inherited genetic issues, and proper structure and conformation, ensuring each puppy has the best possible foundation for a healthy and high-quality life.

All of our dogs are AKC registered, vaccinated, dewormed, and receive regular professional training and grooming. They are raised indoors, as Schnauzers are highly social, affectionate, and loyal companions that thrive as part of the family.

We welcome the return of any Schnauzer should the placement not be the right fit for your family. In such cases, we do not offer a buy-back option due to the significant investment involved in advanced training.

If a dog is returned to us, it may be enrolled in our training program and developed into a service-capable dog. This program typically spans approximately two years and focuses on advanced skills designed to assist individuals with disabilities, extending beyond the scope of emotional support animal training.

Our goal is always to ensure each dog is placed in the most suitable and successful long-term environment for both the dog and the family.

Breeding Program & Stud Service Terms

Most veterinarians and kennel clubs agree on the following breeding recommendations :

Females:
- Minimum: 18–24 months old
- Ideally after their 2nd heat cycle
- Why: their body, bones, and hormones are still maturing before this
Males (stud dogs):
- Minimum: 12–18 months old
- Some breeders wait until 18–24 months for full maturity and temperament stability

Our breeding fee or stud service is available at $800 per litter. Payment is due at the time of service. If the female does not conceive and a litter is not produced within 75 days (with an average gestation period of approximately 65 days), a rebreeding will be offered or a full refund will be provided.

For first-time breeders, the female may not be shown until the fifth week of pregnancy. A veterinary examination is required to confirm that conception did not occur in order to qualify for a refund.

All breeding services are conducted with a focus on responsible breeding practices and the health of the dogs involved.

Responsibilities of Female Dog Owner

The owner of the female agrees to provide current veterinary records verifying the following vaccinations: rabies, parvovirus (Parvo), distemper, kennel cough, canine influenza, Bordetella, and leptospirosis. The female must also be free of fleas prior to arrival.

The owner agrees to transport the female on day 6 or 7 of her heat cycle. Upon arrival, the female will be placed in a brief quarantine period of up to 48 hours for health observation prior to breeding. Breeding will not proceed if the female appears ill, underweight, or otherwise not in suitable condition; in such cases, the owner will be notified promptly for pickup.

It is recommended that the female not participate in public outings or high-risk exposure environments for approximately one month prior to breeding to help ensure optimal health.

The female will remain at the breeder’s facility for approximately one week. During this time, breeding will occur once daily while she is receptive. The female will be housed indoors, separated from other dogs, and managed appropriately during her cycle for cleanliness and comfort.

Once the female is no longer receptive to the male, the owner will be notified for pickup. The female must be collected within five days of notification. After this period, a boarding fee of $30 per day will apply.

To help ensure a smooth and comfortable stay, owners are encouraged to provide the female’s regular food, a favorite toy, shampoo (if applicable), treats, and a familiar bed or bedding for comfort.

Schnauzer Grooming

Schnauzers require consistent grooming to maintain their distinctive appearance, healthy coat, and overall comfort. Their double coat consists of a wiry outer layer and a softer undercoat, which must be properly maintained to prevent matting and skin irritation.

Regular brushing—ideally several times per week—helps remove loose hair, reduce shedding, and keep the coat clean and manageable. Professional grooming is recommended every 4–8 weeks, depending on coat length and lifestyle.

Each grooming session typically includes coat trimming or hand-stripping (for show-quality coats), beard and leg shaping, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and sanitary care. Special attention is given to maintaining the signature Schnauzer look, including the eyebrows, beard, and structured body outline.

Routine bathing is done with dog-safe shampoos to preserve the natural texture of the coat without stripping essential oils. Because Schnauzers are active and social dogs, regular grooming also helps monitor skin health and detect any early signs of irritation or issues.

Consistent grooming not only keeps the Schnauzer looking its best but also supports long-term skin health and comfort, ensuring a clean, well-maintained companion.

If you are not able to maintain your grooming we are happy to provide Schnauzer Grooming – for $125 that includes bath, blow dry, breed-specific haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning, and sanitary trim.
